Artist Rod Holt uses Caran d’Ache ballpoint
Full-time Artist Rod Holt uses a Caran d’Ache Ecridor Ballpoint pen to create his beautiful works of art. Rod Holt trained at Rochdale College of Art and at the University of Northumbria. Since 2004, he has been working full-time as an artist. His work has evolved over time and recent pieces are inspired and invigorated by the wildness and uncompromising nature of the Dark Peak landscape. Rod has incorporated his experiences of fell running around his home in Glossop, Derbyshire into some of the pictures.
The Caran d’Ache Ecridor Retro is one of the many ballpoint pens Rod uses. The Ecridor Retro is silver-plated and rhodium coated to prevent tarnishing. Rhodium is a rare metal in the platinum family and is about 10 times more expensive than gold. It is extremely hard but its principal advantage is that because it does not oxidise, it always keeps its magnificent silver sheen. A fountain pen, roller ball pen, ballpoint pen and mechanical pencil are available in this range.
